About SCP-087, The Stairwell
SCP-087 is an unlit stairwell behind a locked door. It appears to go down much further than the building above it could explain, and its true depth has never been measured. Each exploration team sent down has gone further than the last, and each has reported the same thing: the sound of a child calling for help from somewhere below, always out of reach. Further down, something is waiting in the dark.
- Object class: Euclid
- Known for: one of the earliest and most influential SCP entries
