I have you an old 1908 Japan­ese Folk Sto­ry episode — let­ters com­piled by one friend of author Yei Theodo­ra Oza­ki into a com­pi­la­tion of tra­di­tion­al Japan­ese folk tales.

Yam­a­to Takero is a prince bestowed with incred­i­ble luck, gift­ed with strength, wis­dom, and cun­ning, the fight­er of brig­ands, a war­rior at heart, but not infallible…as we find out. Wel­come lis­ten­ers to your Mon­day shake­up. Today I have for you’re the Japan­ese Folk Sto­ry – The Prince of Yam­a­to Takero. This sto­ry is less about the morale to learn and more about action and dra­ma. We get to learn about some ancient Japan­ese laws about man­hood, sur­round­ed by sim­i­lar­ly ancient Japan­ese prob­lems – like brig­ands and thieves.
