You know what time it is, Sher­lock Holme’s and Watson’s new adven­ture! Today is actu­al­ly a real­ly great episode because I’ve fig­ured out, final­ly, how to repair, legit­i­mate­ly repair, worb­bled audio. Tech­ni­cal term of course, for seri­ous­ly messed up bits of audio, that wob­ble and blip.

These aren’t nor­mal clicks or pops, oh no, they are tape tears, com­plete skips, and exces­sive mic feed­back hit­ting the audio reel. You’ll hear some this episode, like lit­tle bumps in the road but they are severe­ly, and heav­i­ly “healed” as it were, to a point where your ears are in tact but also, the audio is returned to it’s for­mer glo­ry. For some rea­son I find that actress­es in these OTR’s suf­fer the brunt of the feed­back due to their voic­es peak­ing and spik­ing the audio.

That aside, new tech­niques I’ve applied today, allowed me to repair this audio to rough­ly 80%. That new technique…opens doors for me to remas­tered audio that was pre­vi­ous­ly locked away as un-doable. So, lis­ten­ers, turn up the sound, and enjoy this remas­tered and repaired Old Time Radio episode.
