Wel­come you love­ly lis­ten­ers to your Old Time Radio episode. Today I tack­led two par­tic­u­lar­ly dif­fi­cult old time radio clas­sics, from the Crime Clas­sics OTR Series – The Aslop Fam­i­ly is your first, and Your Lov­ing Son Nero your sec­ond. This series mates, hoho, they are dif­fi­cult. They have ran­dom pops and clicks like nobod­ies busi­ness – and in the first episode the audio lit­er­al­ly stops…and restarts the entire episode…I had to lis­ten to it three time’s at that point to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.

So whilst I’m slic­ing out pops and clicks like a man pulling cards out of a deck of aces, this crazy occur­rence with dou­bling audio popped up and took me by sur­prise. The first time an OTR had the guile to pull a sneak attack on me. Both of course have been remas­tered, with the sec­ond episode requir­ing some sig­nif­i­cant bass return­ing, but oth­er than that…pretty on point when it came to qual­i­ty.
